BAURE ISLAND



 
Each year, students from the TALM School of Fine Arts are invited to invest the island of Baure(La Ménitré, France).
Their creations "in situ" are presented to the public during an exhibition on the island. This public is divided: those used to art exhibitions and those of the village who know the island. The villagers are sometimes reticent to the artistic creations presented. These two worlds do not understand each other.
A usual communication (poster, flyer ..) was already planned. I decided to add a parallel communication dedicated to the village
I paired a family from the village with a student project. 17 houses were able to follow the adventure by receiving several newsletters.
These letters allowed them to discover in real time the artistic approach and reflection of one of the projects. The last newsletter invited the family to the vernissage to meet "their" artist

Chaque année, les étudiants de l'école supérieure des Beaux Arts TALM sont invités à investir l'île de Baure.
Leurs créations "in situ" sont présentées au public lors d'une exposition sur l'île. Ce public est divisé: ceux habitués aux expositions d'art et ceux du village qui connaissent l'île. Les villageois sont parfois réticents aux créations artistiques présentées. Ces deux mondes ne se comprennent pas.
Une communication habituelle (affiche, flyer ..) était déjà planifiée. J'ai décidé d'y ajouter une communication parallèle dédiée au village
J'ai jumelé une famille du village avec un projet étudiant. 17 maisons ont pu suivre l'aventure en recevant plusieurs newsletters.
Ces lettres ont permis de découvrir en temps réel la démarche et réflexion artistique d'un des projets. La dernière lettre d'information invitait la famille au vernissage pour rencontrer «son» artiste.
